Jane Ann Bacon, an 89-year-old resident of Hoquiam, Washington passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Pacific Care Center. She was born on Sept. 25, 1936, to Richard and Marguerite Beck (Moore) in Miami, Oklahoma.

In her earlier years her family moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. Jane was the oldest of four children, she grew up in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction High School before attending Mesa College, where she pursued studies in Interior Design.

On May 10, 1963, Jane married the love of her life, Ronald Edward Bacon, in Grand Junction, Colorado. After their marriage, Jane and Ron moved to Portland, Oregon, where Ron worked as a physical therapist and where their first daughter, Kari, was born. In 1966, Ron accepted a position at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, and the family relocated to Hoquiam, settling into their longtime home in 1968. Their second daughter, Dara, was born the following year.

Jane devoted her early years to being a stay-at-home mother, a role she cherished deeply. Once the girls began school, she worked part-time at the Grays Harbor Community Hospital Federal Credit Union. In the early 1980s, when Ron opened a private physical therapy practice in downtown Hoquiam, Jane served as the office manager and bookkeeper, supporting the business with her steady hand and warm presence.

Jane and Ron shared many interests, including photography, and were active members of the Sunset Camera Club. As a family, they loved hiking and were longtime members of the Olympians Hiking Club, enjoying countless adventures throughout the Olympic and Cascade mountains with their two young daughters in tow.

Jane was an exceptionally kind, loving, and generous person — always ready to help anyone who needed it. She took great pride in supporting her daughters and encouraging them in all their pursuits. She treasured her family, and her devotion to them was evident in every part of her life.

Creatively gifted, Jane loved to sew. When her daughters were young, she made many of their clothes and enjoyed needlework, quilting, and a variety of crafts. She also found joy in beachcombing and spending time in nature. In her later years, Jane became involved with the quilting group at Saron Lutheran Church in Hoquiam, helping make quilts distributed worldwide through Lutheran World Relief.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Bacon of Hoquiam; her daughters, Kari Hasbrouck and Dara Gaddis, both of Hoquiam; her sister, Sally Beck of Clifton, Colorado; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Beck Jr. and Charles Beck.

Jane loved her husband and family deeply, and her gentle spirit, compassion, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Saron Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
