City of McCleary Rognlin’s, Inc. owns 450 acres within the city limits of McCleary, and on Jan. 21, the city held a public workshop to discuss the company’s vision of the property. Last year, Rognlin’s, Inc. conducted an aerial survey of the property and this spring, wetlands and critical area studies will be conducted before summer 2026.

On Dec. 9, Grays Harbor PUD installed a new utility pole and restrung the primary wires. At the pole’s base, they attached a strap to anchor it to the bank to prevent it from falling into the water until CenturyLink could respond, but the pole went into the water on the evening of Dec. 10.
