Rosalie Mae Busz (Kendall) went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 24, 2025, at the age of 86.

The youngest of five children she was born to Stephen and Bertha (Roesli) Kendall, on Sept. 22, 1938.

Rosalie married Daniel Busz out of high school, celebrating 66 years of marriage. Their legacy lives on through their five children: Dennis Busz, Andrew Busz, Mary Lamb, Nancy Hansel, and Brian Busz. Rosalie was also blessed with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Rosalie loved gardening. She raised her family on homegrown fruit and vegetables. She grew gorgeous flowers, loving the heirloom dahlias from her mother, and sister Joan (the Flower Lady’s) shared dahlia bulbs. She enjoyed watching birds and all wildlife.

She loved music, oil painting and playing pinochle with friends. She enjoyed many lasting friendships from life spent in Tacoma and Gig Harbor. Her and Dan enjoyed travel as snowbird in Yuma, Arizona and was able to travel to Ireland and land of her Swiss heritage.

She was always patriotic, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, with her father, brothers’ and husbands’ military service.

Rosalie was known for her warm and loving smile she shared with everyone. She was a devout Catholic and carried that passion throughout her life. She was faithful in prayer groups and prayer chains.

She was a pillar of love, strength and faith for her family.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 2023, parents Stephen and Bertha (Roesli) Kendall, her siblings: brothers Stephen, Robert and Donald Kendall, and sister Joan Bruce (Sauve).

A memorial service will be held on Sept. 13, 2025, at 12 p.m. noon at St. John’s Catholic Church, 414 E. Broadway in Montesano, Washington with a reception to follow in the social hall.

Family will be resting her ashes by her husband Dan’s at St. John’s Cemetery, Wishkah Valley following.

We will always remember her smile. She is very missed, but we also know she is in heaven.
