John Bubnick

John Bubnick was born to Donald and Janet (Robertson) Bubnick, on Aug. 10, 1955, in Aberdeen, Washington.

John was born to Donald and Janet (Robertson) Bubnick, on Aug. 10, 1955, in Aberdeen, Washington. He passed peacefully on Jan. 7, 2026, in Puyallup, Washington. The family lived in Sitka, Alaska from 1960-1968, where John attended grade school. The family moved back to Montesano, where he lived and graduated from Montesano High School in 1974.

Truck driving was his life for many years and upon medical retirement he enjoyed time with family, friends, and adventures to the beach and surrounding areas. John was known for his volunteering at the Montesano Rehabilitation Center where he was acknowledged many times with rewards for his help with outings, bingo, and visiting patients — always bringing a smile.

John is survived by his sister, Teri, his brother, Dennis, nephews Jeremy (Amy) their children Ophelia and Ashley of California, Stephen and his children Damon and Susie of Montesano and numerous cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his brother, Doug (Bub).

A celebration of life will be held at the Montesano Moose Lodge, at 3 Monte-Elma Road on Jan. 31, 2026, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Doug Bubnick/Montesano Moose Lodge scholarship fund.
