Merry Joanne Kilwien of Aberdeen passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. She was 74. Merry was born on Feb. 23, 1944, to Lee and Edna Pearson in Hermiston, Ore. The family later relocated to Tacoma, then Hoquiam, where she graduated with the Grizzly class of 1962.

On Aug. 28, 1964, Merry and Ralph Kilwien were married in Aberdeen, Wash.

Merry worked for the Salvation Army for 20 years, retiring in 2009. She took this time to become an active TOPS member and enjoyed reading.

Merry is survived by her husband, Ralph Kilwien of Aberdeen and daughters, Elaine Kilwien and Barbara Bowman, both of Nampa, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Kilwien and brother, Bill Platt.
