Louie Frank Burch Jr., 74, of Elma, Washington, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026 at Capital Medical Center in Olympia, Washington. He was born on April 20, 1951, in Elma, Washington.
Louie was raised in Oakville and moved to Montesano in 3rd grade. He graduated from Montesano High School in 1969 and later attended Grays Harbor College and Western Washington University. A hardworking and dedicated man, Louie spent 38 years with Simpson Door Company in McCleary before retiring in 2011.
Louie was preceded in birth by the passing of his father, Louie Frank Burch Sr. He was lovingly raised by his mother, Georgia Darlene Bell, and his stepfather, Donald Raymond Briscoe, who stepped into the role of father and helped shape the man Louie became. Their influence remained an important part of his life.
Louie was a proud and devoted family man. He is survived by his children: son Nathan (Mandi) Burch of Kelso; daughters Katie (Cameron) McKinnon of McCleary and Becky Burch of Kelso. He was a cherished grandfather to 12 grandchildren: Raymond, Nora, Hannah, Carson, Kehden, Alexx, Kaden, Seamus, Noah, Nathan, Haley, and Kylie; and a great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
He is also survived by his siblings: brother Dean (Lori) Briscoe of Marysville and sister Pam Briscoe of Olympia. He was preceded in death by his parents Louie Burch Sr., Georgia and Donald Briscoe, brother Lloyd Briscoe and his sister Debbie Wisdom of Montesano.
Louie enjoyed fishing, camping, and, above all, spending time with his family. He rarely missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren’s events and was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Louie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Elma. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love for his family.
Louie will be laid to rest at McCleary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elma Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A reception will be held at the McCleary Community Center, 726 W Simpson Ave, McCleary, WA 98557, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 at 11:30 a.m.
