A registered sex offender has been arrested by Aberdeen Police after a two-month investigation into the alleged rape of a child, reports Det. Jeff Weiss with the Aberdeen Police Department.

Trey Joseph Jennings was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail after his arrest April 25 at his place of employment in Westport. He has been charged with third-degree rape of a child and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.

The investigation began Feb. 16, according to Weiss, who added Jennings is a registered sex offender with Grays Harbor County.
