Linda Charline (Brown) Pirttila-Nielsen passed away Dec. 14, 2023, in Olympia, WA at the age of eighty-one. Linda was the daughter of Clyde “Bus” Brown and Charline Younger Brown. She was born Jan. 14, 1942, in Aberdeen, WA and grew up in Cosmopolis and attended Aberdeen High School.

She met and married William “Bill” Medley in Cosmopolis. After their divorce she was married to David Nielsen and Jerry Pirttila.

Linda worked at the Weyco Pulp Mill. She then worked as a bartender and operated a bed and breakfast in the Olympia area. She moved to Olympia and worked for Home Depot as a Flooring Design Consultant. She loved living in Olympia and enjoyed working in her yard alongside her little furry dogs which she adored. Trips to the casino and playing Bingo were her favorite activities.

Linda’s infant son Troy Nielsen, parents, Clyde “Bus” and Charline, along with siblings Mark, Ed “Shorty” and Sharon Brown, all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son Tim (Beth) Medley, of Cosmopolis, and a daughter Tonya (Nielsen) Law Reins of Tacoma. Linda was blessed with grandchildren, great grandchildren and a special niece, Tina Brahmsteadt.

A private family graveside service will be at the Cosmopolis Cemetery.
