Paul Boys Sr., a resident of Montesano for over 40 years, passed away at Harbor Regional Health on April 26th, 2024.

Paul Boys Sr., a resident of Montesano for over 40 years, passed away at Harbor Regional Health on April 26th, 2024. He was 80 years old.

Paul was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on August 26th, 1943 to parents Robert Boys and Adeline Poirier. He was raised in Marion, Massachusetts, but also spent time in Texas, Kentucky, Virginia, and even Germany. He attended St. Martin’s and Boston College, earning his Master’s Degree in education. Paul was a member of the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Major while at Fort Lewis. He later became Senior Vice President and branch manager of Bank of America. On October 29th, 1966, he married the love of his life, Jewel, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Paul was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Montesano, a board member of the Montesano food bank, the Montesano Senior Center, and the Rotary Club. He also took pleasure in camping and being outdoors.

Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Boys.

Surviving family members include his son, Paul Boys Jr. and wife, Amy, of Enumclaw; daughters, Nichol White of Spokane and June Boys of Aberdeen; and his beloved granddaughter, Adelaide Boys.

A graveside burial service will be held on May 10th, 2024 at the Elma Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Harrison Family Mortuary. Donations can be made in Paul’s name to the Montesano Food Bank or the Montesano Senior Center.
