Hoquiam, Montesano players dominate 1A Evergreen All-League Volleyball First Team

Three Bulldogs, two Grizzlies named to league’s top squad

Montesano and Hoquiam dominated the First Team as the 1A Evergreen League announced its all-league team for the 2025 season.

League-champion Montesano led the way with three players named to the league’s top squad.

Bulldogs senior libero Bentley Warne (169 digs, 93% service), junior setter Makena Blancas (269 assists, 95% service) and senior outside hitter Grace Gooding (82 kills, 78 digs, 30 aces) each earned a spot on the league’s First Team.

Two Hoquiam Grizzlies earned top league honors on the First Team.

Grizzlies standouts in sophomore outside hitter Aaliyah Kennedy (119 kills, 55 digs, 88.75% serve-receive, 87% service) and sophomore libero Avery Brodhead (98 digs, 92% serve-receive, 95% service) were both named to the league’s top team.

Locals named to the league’s Second Team were Hoquiam outside hitter Hallie Burgess (71 kills, 20 digs) and middle blocker Sydney Gordon (34 kills, 10 blocks, 20 aces), Montesano outside hitter Jordyn Perry (64 kills, 63 digs) and Elma middle blocker Audreauna Kanios.

Montesano head coach Billie Dickinson and her staff was named the league’s Coaching Staff of the Year.
