A lifetime resident of Aberdeen, Ron Curry, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Ron was born at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, on May 3, 1968, to Robin and Judy Curry.
His first of many trips at six months old was from New Jersey to Raymond. At age 2 he moved with his family to Aberdeen, where he lived the rest of his life.
He is survived by his parents Robin and Judy Curry of Lake Nahwatzel, his son Ryan Curry, sister and brother in law Robyn and Guy Cox, sister Rondah Curry, five nieces, four great-nieces, three great-nephews and an uncle Dan Curry of Wenatchee.
He graduated from St. Mary’s School in 1982 and from Weatherwax High School in 1986.
Ron spent many summers at the family cabin at Lake Nahwatzel. He enjoyed water skiing, swimming and racing his mini-hydro that he built with his dad.
Ron cherished the many game bird hunting trips with his dad and the dogs to the hills in Yakima Valley and the fields in Fairfield, as well as their turkey hunts in Tonasket and Republic.
He also enjoyed golf, riding motorcycles and camping. He loved playing golf with his friends and enjoyed the family get-togethers. He also enjoyed coaching Little League and Pop Warner football for his son Ryan when he was growing up. He coached winning teams for five years. The kids loved him, and he made many new friends.
Ron worked for Antich Supply Co. in Aberdeen for 33 years. He was a loyal and respected employee. He serviced many counties and his customers were his friends.
Ron was the most likable person. Anyone who met him liked him.
He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten by his family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life held at the Rotary Log Pavilion at 1401 Sargent Blvd. in Aberdeen on Sunday, June 13, from noon to 4 p.m.
