Loving mother and grandmother Gail Nadeen McKay, born June 26, 1939, in Aberdeen, Washington, passed away on Dec. 31, 2021, at the age of 82 in Montesano, Washington, daughter of Johnathan Greene Elliott and Nadeen Clarissa Stines. While her love and final home was Washington, she lived across many states, including Oregon, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado.
A proud member of the Calvary Church in Montesano, her most cherished love was Christ. She spent many nights in Bible study with her son John. She was a proud member of the Chinook and Quinault tribes, enjoyed antiquing, collecting costume jewelry, gardening, reading and her dog, Lily.
Gail’s career was spent as registered nurse. She worked multiple facets of nursing, including Home Health Care, a professor of nursing at Southeastern College of Utah, and a corporate nurse for FMC, Freightliner Trucks and Nabisco.
Gail is survived by her six children: sons Russell Cameron of Oregon, Brian Cameron of California, Andrew (Cynthia) Worth of Washington, and John (Theresa) McKay of Colorado; daughters Bobbie Berkey of Washington, and Heidi (Kevin) McNeill of Colorado; as well as nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both parents.
