Longtime Aberdeen resident Bonnie Jeanne (Carey) Antich went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, with her family by her side, at her home in Aberdeen.
Bonnie was born on Jan. 10, 1921, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Estill and Nora Farrington Carey. She was raised in Aberdeen, graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1939 and attended the University of Washington.
On Oct. 25, 1946, Bonnie married Stanley Antich, the love of her life. In addition to her loving husband of 67 years, she is also survived by her son Jim (Cindy) Antich of Scottsdale, Ariz. and her daughter Kathy (Dennis) Pirch of Payson, Ariz., six grandsons; Jim (Deborah), Brian, Jeff, Kevin (Katrina) Antich, Clifford (Alicia) and Christopher (Katie) Pirch, eight great-grandchildren; Elena and Alex Antich, Kailee and Kassidy Pirch, Adeline, Emery, Sadie and Andrew Pirch and 13 living nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Stan, sister, Dorothy VanDerbeek and brother, Jim Carey.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Light and Life Community Church, located at 2940 Simpson Avenue, in Hoquiam.
