The City of Ocean Shores Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants in the western area of the city in April and May. Work will be conducted from Ocean Lake Way to Pacific Boulevard NW on April 6 and 7, from Pacific Boulevard NW to W. Chance a la Mer on April 20 and 21 and from W. Chance a la Mer to Damon Road on May 4 and 5.

It is common for flushing activities to stir up sediment in the water lines surrounding the work areas. It is recommended that users do not use hot water during the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the days listed. If you experience discoloration of your water, please run the cold water tap for a few minutes until it clears.

If you must use hot water during flushing operations, the city strongly recommends flushing your hot water tank after the city’s operations are complete.
