Two years shy of its centennial birthday, this year was the final curtain call for the Elma Theater. On Nov. 10, fences and detour signs blocked off 4th Street in preparation of demolition that began on Wed, Nov. 12 and is scheduled through Dec. 16. Since 2013, the building has been vacant, and the city of Elma assumed ownership in 2021.
