On Dec. 22, 2021, we unexpectedly lost a beautiful soul. Arne James Andersen was born May 16, 1989, in Olympia, Washington to Ron and Tracy Andersen.

Arne was born and raised in Grays Harbor County. He graduated Aberdeen High School in 2007 with honors. Arne grew up with a love for wrestling — starting at a very young age and ending his high school wrestling career as a team captain and a state placeholder. He enjoyed going to multiple wrestling camps where he met many amazing athletes and friends. Arne still holds a special place in his team and coaches’ hearts to this day.

Arne loved to spend time with his family, working on cars, reading books and listening to podcasts. He was the biggest supporter. If you told him you had a goal, he would be there every day to help you achieve it. He was full of knowledge and loved to share it with anyone that would listen.

Arne loved dogs and is survived by his Jack Russell, Rambo. Arne most recently became active in Jack Russell competitions where he enjoyed showing Rambo off and was very proud of Rambo’s winnings at these competitions.

Arne had a passion for fitness and living healthy. He was involved with the local CrossFit gym and enjoyed doing yoga and Olympic Powerlifting. He has completed five Tough Mudders and completed an Ultra Marathon in 2015 where he ran 50 miles in 10 hours.

To those who knew him, there are no words to express how deeply he will be missed and what we would do to hear his signature laugh one last time.

Arne is survived by his parents, Ron and Tracy Andersen; sisters, Torie and Tatum Andersen; nephew Bryce; best friend Chad Blevins; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

His beloved first dog, King who was waiting for Arne in heaven, precedes him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents Thorsten and Hilda Andersen; and John and Nancy Breitsptecher.

There will be a celebration of life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at the Ocosta Rec Hall, located at 45 Ocosta Sixth St. Aberdeen, Washington.

A memorial fund has been set up at TwinStar Credit Union under “Arne Andersen Memorial Scholarship.” This fund will help send Aberdeen High School Wrestlers to camp each year.
