Taholah man killed in head-on crash on Moclips Highway

A 74-year-old Taholah man was killed in a two-car, head-on collision on the Moclips Highway Sunday.

Donald E. Waugh was eastbound on the Moclips Highway at milepost 1.5 west of Highway 101 around 8 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit a westbound vehicle head-on, according to the State Patrol.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 40-year-old Moclips man, was not injured. According to the State Patrol. Waugh died at the scene, and the notification of Waugh’s next of kin came from the second driver.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, according to the State Patrol report.
