An Aberdeen resident was arrested Sunday night for vehicle prowling, and is being charged with felony harassment.
Around 9:38 p.m., a different Aberdeen resident reported to police that a theft ocurred from their vehicle in the 300 Block of North E Street in Aberdeen, according to an Aberdeen Police Department press release. The resident found the suspect in the back of her truck, after which the resident fled the scene when the suspect allegedly threatened to come back and kill her.
Officers located the suspect and were able to make a positive identification. The suspect was then booked into the Aberdeen Jail pending arraignment.
With the cool weather of fall and winter approaching, the department’s press release reminds residents to keep their vehicles secured and not leave them unattended while they warm up.
