Driftwood Players open season with ‘See How They Run’

“See How They Run” will open at the Driftwood Theatre in Aberdeen the last weekend in September.

A comedy/farce, the three act play is appropriate for preteens, teens and adults. This production is directed by Kathe Rowe and McKenna Hansen is the director in training.

Penelope Toop is a former American actress now living in the English countryside with her vicar husband. A visit from an old friend will be the start of a series of events that involve a drunken spinster, a naked vicar, a maid working overtime and an escaped Russian spy.

The show will run Sept. 24 and 25, as well as Oct. 1, 2, 8, 9 and 10 with curtain times at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1:30 on Sunday afternoon.

Tickets are $18 and are available at Valu Drug in Montesano, City Center Drug in Aberdeen, Harbor Drug in Hoquiam and The Dusty Trunk in Ocean Shores, online at aberdeendriftwood.com or at the door.

Season tickets can be purchased for the upcoming season. You can purchase tickets to five plays for the price of four. For more information, contact Sue Keltner at 360-532-8243.

Students with ID will be able to buy “rush” tickets for $10 the night of each performance.

For the first Friday of every show this season, Driftwood Players are offering seats on a “pay what you can” basis with the hopes that this will bring more people to the theater.
