Diabetes prevention program starting

Signup deadline is Friday

Washington State University Extension is offering The National Diabetes Prevention Program this fall. This is a year-long program, with 16 weekly sessions followed by biweekly then monthly meetings to help maintain lifestyle changes.

The program includes healthy eating habits and tips for adding light physical activity. Participants receive support from people facing similar lifestyle challenges.

Two class times are offered via Zoom on Tuesdays starting Nov. 17 — one at 10 a.m. and the other at 5:30 p.m.

Preregistration is required for all classes and the deadline is Friday, Nov. 13. There is a $30 charge for supplies for the program. To enroll in the program, visit redcap.spo.aws.wsu.edu/surveys/?s=M3P93XHEK9 or access the link from our web site: https://extension.wsu.edu/graysharbor
