Montesano Clinic announces new provider

Kerbie Barrantes has been hired as a doctor of nursing practice at Grays Harbor Community Hospital’s Montesano Clinic.

Once a registered nurse at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Barrantes went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Washington State University. He is also certified as a family nurse practitioner.

The hospital’s announcement said Barrantes went back to school after noticing a shortage of medical providers on Grays Harbor and felt rural areas needed services. Barrantes grew up in a rural area of the Philippines.

Barrantes has served in the United States Navy Reserves Nursing Corps. Away from work, he enjoys outdoor activities, time with family and friends, and cooking.

The clinic is located at 319 Pioneer Ave. E. For more information visit www.ghcares.org.
