Laura Marie Allison, 91, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former case manager for Evergreen Counseling and Behavioral Health in Hoquiam, died Thursday, April 11, 2024, in her family home in Aberdeen.

Laura Marie Allison, 91, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former case manager for Evergreen Counseling and Behavioral Health in Hoquiam, died Thursday, April 11, 2024, in her family home in Aberdeen.

Laura was born on March 20, 1933, in Aberdeen to George James and Grace Mariel (Paull) Howard. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1950.

On October 14, 1962, Laura married Leroy “Link” Allison in Hoquiam, Washington. He passed on October 1, 1999.

Laura provided daycare for many children on the Harbor for many years while raising her own children. She also worked as a case manager for Evergreen Counseling, taking care of the finances for many of their patients.

She was a member of the South Aberdeen Baptist Church and formally of Central Park Baptist Church and Aberdeen First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her dogs, camping, gardening and baking.

Laura is survived by four sons: George (Debbie) Beers of Federal Way, Washington, Brian Beers and Companion Dawn of Montesano, Washington, Craig (Mickie) Allison of Pacific Beach, Washington and Leroy (Lynnette) Allison of Aberdeen, Washington.; daughters: Diane (Don) Straughn of Hoquiam, Washington and Lauralee (Arne) Peterson of Montesano, Washington; stepsons: David (Amy) Allison and Ricky Allison all of Winlock, Washington; a stepdaughter, Wanda Allison of Winlock, Washington; multiple grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: Jon and Earl Allison; stepsons: Alan and Gerald Allison; and brothers Jim and Ernest Howard.

There will be a celebration of life held for Laura at South Aberdeen Baptist Church on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow. Burial took place at Fern Hill Cemetery next to her husband Link.
