I just returned from a meeting in Westport that I am thoroughly excited about. It is called the Westport Writers Club.
A group of people get together who love to write. After one meeting, I joined up. The emphasis is on writing whatever you have on your mind — be it funny, hard times, personal problems, political or whatever excites you and you have the desire to write about.
These men and women are all amateurs and not known, except by us at the club.
Boy, what fun!
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Westport Timberland Library. Anyone who is a closet writer, come join us. You don’t need to worry about being talented or be afraid to be heard. We want you to come for the pleasure of having your writings heard by people who do not judge, but encourage you forward.
We are looking forward to hearing your writings.
