Although playing without leading scorer Marcus Anderson, sidelined with the flu, the Gulls owned a three-point lead midway through the final period.

“They cranked up the pressure a little bit and we didn’t do a very good of attacking it,” Raymond coach Mike Tully said. “But I’m proud of the kids for making the adjustment (to play without Anderson) and playing as hard as they did against a pretty decent team.”

North River head coach Sean Pierson said he was excited to hang with such a talented team for most of the game and highlighted Eliza Gumaelius for her aggressiveness on offense in pursuit of her eight points.
