Willapa Valley’s Pearson honored by WIAA
Willapa Valley senior guard Matt Pearson was named to the WIAA’s Athlete of the Week list for the week of Feb. 24 through March 2, the sanctioning body announced on Tuesday.
Pearson led the Vikings’ run through the 2B State Basketball Tournament, scoring 25, 18 and 12 points in Willapa Valley’s three state tournament games.
Little League umpire clinic on March 16
The District 3 Little League Umpire Clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 16 in Centralia.
The clinic is free to all umpires and volunteers and includes breakfast and lunch.
