Hoquiam to honor Title IX 50th anniversary

Hoquiam High School will honor the 50th anniversary of Title IX at the Grizzlies girls basketball games against Tenino on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Hoquiam High School.

Hoquiam invites any and all Grizzly female student-athletes to participate as “honorees” and to arrive to the school’s gym foyer by 5 p.m.

The school plans a full evening of recognition and requests all planning to participate as “honorees” to complete the form by following the link below.

Umpire clinic to take place in Centralia

Washington District 3 Little League is sponsoring an Umpire Mechanics Clinic at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Feb. 26-27 at the Centralia High School gymnasium located at 813 Eshorn Road, Centralia.

The cost of the clinic is $77 (plus a $3 transaction fee for entire purchase) and both new and experienced umpires from all organizations are welcome to attend.
