Born in Portland, Oregon May 12, 1950 to Richard and Helen McClafferty Babineau, the family moved to Hoquiam where he attended school and graduated HHS 1968, went on to GHC, then to Central where he received his BA.

He was a baseball player, wrestler and played pool at Parkway Tavern 30-plus years.

He married Paula Stayton March 2, 1985 in Oakville, and had a family, Raymond (Judy), Bryan (Emily) and Dylaney.

He worked many places: GH Veneer, Commtron, Pacific Veneer, and Warm Company, and owned and operated several rental houses.

He is survived by his wife, children, sisters Barbara Loiselle and Linda Lamb, grandchildren: Blake, Choate and Jaxon Fourman; Riley, Eli, Gwyn Babineau, twin grandsons due in March, his brother-in-law Pete Stayton and special family friend Charlotte Remstedt.

He was a loving, hard working, private man who loved his family, friends and many pets.

There will be a celebration of his life in spring.
