On April 24, 2024, Judith Lorraine West went to sleep in death. She was 86 years old.
Judy was born on February 23, 1938, to Herbert and Loretta Cain. She was the third of six children and is survived by her youngest sister, Patricia Wheeler of Hoquiam.
Judy is survived by three children, Lisa Stoken (Dale), Mike Francis (Patty) and Kimberly Francis. She also had eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Judy loved to talk about her childhood days, particularly about riding her horse all day long when she was just five years old. She felt blessed to have grown up as a “country girl.” She also had an artistic flair that was expressed in ink drawings. She was really quite good. She also enjoyed the fiber arts, crochet in particular. She liked making beautiful blankets and couch throws which she gifted to others to keep the chill of winter at bay.
She liked to play card games such as solitaire, cribbage and pinochle with friends and family. She treasured her relationship with her creator Jehovah God, and she enjoyed sharing with others Jehovah’s promise for faithful mankind here on earth.
Judy enjoyed attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses when her health allowed. Even when her health failed her, she never forgot her God Jehovah.
She will be missed.
A service is being planned and will be announced later.
