Longtime Ocean Shores resident and business owner, Richard G. “Dick” Crook, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024 at the age of 86.

He and his wife, Joanne, who preceded him in death, opened the $2 Only store in 1994 and thoroughly enjoyed their time living and working in this community. Dick moved from Bellevue where he raised his family and started Richard’s Northwest Advertising. He enjoyed marketing on radio, TV and newspapers and tailgating at Seahawks games. He also loved his cabin at the beach where he lived out many good years.

His family and friends will remember his humor, creativity and devotion to his wife. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, father-in-law and uncle.

At his request, no service will be held. Instead, think of him the next time you watch a Seahawks game.
