Mary Ruth Kolle passed away peacefully Nov. 23, 2020, in Renton, Washington. She was born April 6, 1943, in Badger, Iowa, daughter of Einar and Ellen Kolle.

She graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1961. After completing courses at Grays Harbor Business School, she began her lifelong banking career at NBC in Aberdeen. She later worked for several different banking institutions in Seattle before her retirement. Mary was known for excellent customer service.

Mary had a way of finding humor in any situation. Auntie Mary, as she was known to many, delighted in jumping in mud puddles with her nieces and nephews. She was a proud Norwegian who was confirmed in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.

She treasured her special friendship with a group of high school classmates.

She was loved and cared for by devoted family and friends during her long battle with lung cancer. She bravely faced her reality. Thank you to her caregivers at Springwell and her personal team who saw to her every want and need. They are the awesome foursome: Tina, Don, Dale and Penny.

Mary was predeceased by her parents and her sister Signa Copeland. She is survived by sister Linda Kolle, brother-in-law Tom Copeland, nephew Dale (Penny) Copeland, niece Tanya (Jack) Elliott, great-nephews Tommy (Amanda) Copeland, Aron (Jessica) Copeland, great-niece Amanda (Brian) Kayler and great-great-nephew Rhett Copeland, She also leaves behind longtime friend and companion Don Gibson.

No services are planned at this time. Please consider Mary’s favorite charity, The Salvation Army, for any donations in her memory.

Cremation services were provided by Cascade Memorial.
