Clara M. Counts

Clara Mae Counts, an Olympia resident and former Aberdeen resident and bartender, died Monday, April 29, 2024, at home. She was 87.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 1,, with full service details to be published in an obituary in the coming days. A private family graveside will be held at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Phyllis J. Gonigam

Weatherwax High School alumna Phyllis Joanne Gonigam of Alexandria, Virginia died March 15, 2024, in Alexandria. She was 76.

While living in Aberdeen she sang in the Civic Choir and played violin in the Grays Harbor Symphony. She moved to Alexandria in 1994.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Mount Vernon Unitarian Church in Alexandria on June 1, 2024 at 1:30 Eastern Daylight Time.

Joel S. Hasch

McCleary resident Joel S. Hasch died Friday, April 26, 2024, at home. He was 70.

Arrangements are by Funeral Alternatives of Washington in Lacey.

William F. Bonney

Longtime Hoquiam resident William Farrell Bonney died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 67.

He was a realtor working most recently at Windemere Realty.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced later.

A private urn committal will be at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.
