Judith Lurea Shedd, 76, passed away at her home in Aberdeen, Washington on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021.

Judith was born on Aug. 14, 1945, in Denver, Colorado to Larry and Doris Nielsen. She spent a brief part of her childhood in Colorado before her family moved to Washington, where she remained until her death.

Judith attended Grays Harbor College and was a long-time member, nearly 20 years, of the local chapter of the Eagles in Hoquiam. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time keeping up her garden, being outdoors hunting or fishing; and was an avid reader.

Judith is preceded in death by a brother Bill Prante and a sister Theresa Prante. She is survived by her three children: John Shedd of Aberdeen, Washington; Julia Schaben of Aberdeen, Washington; and Jesse Nielsen of Cathlamet, Washington, three brothers: Al Prante, Jerry Nielsen and Jim Prante; and several grand and great-grandchildren.

There will be no formal services. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
