While COVID kept us apart when we lost this wonderful man, John Richard Hill on Dec. 28, 2020, it is now time to celebrate his life.

While COVID kept us apart when we lost this wonderful man, John Richard Hill on Dec. 28, 2020, it is now time to celebrate his life and all that he meant to us as husband, father, brother, grandfather, educator, teammate, mentor and more.

John was a teacher at Robert Gray Elementary for 12 years, a vice principal at Elma Elementary for 8 years, and a principal at Mt. View Elementary in Shelton for 21 years.

Among his hobbies, John enjoyed playing sports through the local park and recreation, and antiquing. He is survived by his wife Debbie; sons Jonathan (Katie) and Eric (Ruby), daughter Marissa (Mike) and four grandchildren.

John’s celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Shelton Civic Center at 525 W. Cota St., Shelton. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the University of Washington BRaIN Lab or to the Mason County Fire District #13.
