Stanley E. Johannes

Stanley Eugene Johannes, age 96, a resident of Hoquiam, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.

Following the sudden death of his father in 1957, he took over management of Star Electric Co. in Hoquiam until his retirement in 1992.

His obituary and memorial plans will be published later.

Arrangements are pending at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Elija ‘John’ Spivey

Longtime Westport resident Elija “John” Spivey, a retired veteran, died Monday, April 15, 2024, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 87.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Ken.
