James Jenkins of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, March 25, 2022.

James Willam Jenkins of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, March 25, 2022. He was 51 years old.

He was a combat veteran of Desert Storm and worked as a manager at The Pint House Bar and Grill.

James graduated from Elma High School in 1989 and then joined the Army. After four years in the Army he spent most of his time traveling and enjoying life before finally settling down in Tennessee and starting a family.

James is the proud father of two beautiful children Avery and Tripp (Jesse), and bonus children Megan, Josh and Noah. He loved his children above all. He was also a grandfather to Isabella, Kennedy, and Desmond who called him “Poppy.”

James enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks and University of Tennessee football and basketball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating on Lake Norris with his family. He loved watching Avery and Tripp play at every sporting event they had.

James was a loving father and adored by many. He will forever be remembered by his family and friends.

James is survived by his sons Jesse James Jenkins (Tripp), Noah Jacob Wamsley and Joshua Seth Wamsley; daughters Avery Ella-Jaymes Jenkins and Megan Paige Khan; grandchildren Isabella, Kennedy and Desmond Khan; mother Beverly (Howard) Anderson, brother David (Trish) Jenkins, sisters Debbie (Adam) Erickson and Tammy Chapman, nieces Tori (Zack)Fenn, Brooke (Todd) Hoiness, Christy Abeyta and Miranda Abeyta, nephews Ryan Jenkins, Jesus Abeyta and David Jenkins, great-nieces Hadley and Raelynn Fenn and great-nephews Rylee Chapman, Thomas Flink and David Flink.

James is preceded in death by his father Earl Anderson, grandparents Ethel Slagle and Dexter Ray and numerous aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be on April 30, 2022, at 2 p.m. at 209 Black Creek Road in Montesano, Washington 98563.
