Diana Faith Dunn (Darr) passed away peacefully on Oct. 15, 2022, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington at 75 years of age. Diana was born in Vancouver, Washington on Feb. 1, 1947, to Marvin and Hope (Stevenson) Darr.

Diana met the love of her life and best friend Donald D. Dunn Jr. after her family relocated to Central Park where they lived across the street from each other. They were married on Aug. 19, 1967, and were married for 49 years until Don’s passing.

Diana found her passion when she started her 41 year career working for the Aberdeen School District. She began working at A. J. West Elementary in 1968 before becoming Central Park Elementary School’s office coordinator, where she remained the heart and soul of the school for 38 years, eventually retiring in 2009. She cherished those years and all the friends she made. You were always close in her mind and heart.

In Diana’s free time she could always be found out in the yard tending to her daffodils and keeping a tidy home. She was an avid reader and loved a good Danielle Steel book with a glass of Rosé. Don and Diana enjoyed hitting the road, camping up and down the coast of Washington and Oregon with their sons or leaving them at home and heading off to Reno to enjoy the night life. Soon they were blessed with grandchildren and were always up visiting and spoiling them as much as possible.

Diana is survived by her youngest son Adam (Melissa) Dunn and two grandchildren, Alexander and Henry of Ruston, Washington; sister-in-law Chris Darr of Vancouver, Washington; sister-in-law Janet Wilbur of Aberdeen, Washington; brother-in-law Roger (Christine) Dunn of Tumwater, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Don Dunn Jr.; her oldest son Scott Dunn; parents Marvin and Hope Darr; brother James Darr; and father and mother-in-law Don and Edwina Dunn.
