Lt. Col. Donald L. McMinds

Lt. Col. Donald L. McMinds (retired) of Ocean Shores died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024 at home. He was 84.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary.

Robert F. Shay

Westport resident Robert Frank Shay died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at Virginia Mason Hospital. He was 29.

Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

William J. Diehl

William James Diehl of Hoquiam died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at home. He was 88.

He taught at Miller and Hopkins schools and was one of the founding teachers for Harbor High School in Aberdeen.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Edward F. Praxel

Montesano resident Edward Frazer Praxel, age 88, died Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam.

He had been an educator in numerous countries and after retiring to the Harbor had done substitute teaching.

A private family gathering will be held later.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
