Aberdeen Little League Field gets makeover

Project to be completed by March 25

A crew with the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department was working to replace sod on the diamond of the Aberdeen Little League baseball field Tuesday. The project began last fall with the removal of the old sod and regrading the surface of the infield. Director of Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Stacie Barnum said price tag of the upgrade is $2,200. The project is expected to be complete March 25. The field, Barnum said, will be one of the host sites for the 2017 Little League state tournament.
