New kennel custodian

With the promotion of Kris Sidor to Animal Control officer, the Aberdeen Police Department Animal Control Shelter was left without a kennel custodian. Kaylee Steen was recently hired to fill that part-time role.

Steen. a 2010 graduate of Montesano High School, now lives in Aberdeen. Following high school she attended Grays Harbor College, graduating in 2016 with an associate degree in criminal justice.

Steen is not new to the department or the shelter. She completed a college internship with Animal Control officer Mike Roble working two days a week in the field, and then with kennel custodian Sidor working two days a week in the shelter. She has also served as a domestic violence victim witness coordinator, as well as part-time support for the department’s Investigations Section.
