Montesano girls golfer and state-champion Hailey Blancas has made her collegiate choice.

The top golfer in the 1A class will attend Saint Martin’s University in Lacey after signing a National Letter of Intent on Sunday, Nov. 26, at Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis.

Thirty-two friends and family members attend the signing in support of the Bulldogs senior, who will attend Saint Martin’s in the fall.

The Blancas family would like to thank PGA professionals Ronnie Espedal and Joe Golia “for the countless hours they’ve spent supporting Hailey,” as well as Montesano coaches Doug Galloway and Loyal Linton, who were “instrumental in preparing her for her state championship.”

“(Hailey) wouldn’t be a state champion without them,” Arnel Blancas, Hailey’s father, said.
