Tom, 55, lost his fight to colon cancer peacefully on Feb. 19, 2017, with family by his side. Tom was born in Olympia, Wash., on March 4, 1961, to Dorothy (Crosskill) Ashlock and Robert A. Martin. Tom grew up in Olympia and Tacoma prior to moving to Raymond in 1969. Tom graduated from Raymond High School in 1979. Tom married Shellie Ann Johnson on Aug. 19, 2000, and resided in Cosmopolis. He worked for Weyerhaeuser for 15 years, then at Sierra Pacific for 12 years. Tom was also known for his landscaping work for many harbor residents and his volunteer work for Cosmopolis Lions Club and Aberdeen High School Booster Club. Tom and Shellie enjoyed their trips to Las Vegas, camping with friends, and cheering on the Seahawks.

Tom is survived by his wife, Shellie Johnson; sons, Brennan and Brycen Martin, and Ryan McCue; and daughter, Alisha McCue.

Tom is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Ashlock of South Bend; in-laws, Oran and Mary Johnson of Aberdeen; brothers, Bob (Marci) Martin of Hoquiam, Bill Martin of South Bend, Dan (Gill) Ashlock of Puyallup, and Roger (Tonya) Ashlock of Montesano; sisters, Sandi Barrows of Charleston, S.C., Pat Caudill of Tacoma, and Boe Clark of Castle Dale, Utah; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday and also prior to the service on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the chapel at Harrison Family Mortuary located at 311 W. Market St. in Aberdeen.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Tom on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at Harbor City Church, 1700 Cherry St., Aberdeen. Memorials may be made to the Cosmopolis Lions Club or the Colon Cancer Alliance.
