Everett Ronald Ramsdell Sr. of Raymond passed away at his home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was 79. He was born in Tacoma, Wash. on Jan. 26, 1939, to Ronald and Ida Ramsdell. He was raised in Cosmopolis, where he attended school, later moving to Raymond where he resided for 40 years.

Everett served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 – 1960. He worked for Hoquiam Veneer and was a shake cutter.

He loved the woods and playing cards.

Everett is survived by his sons Everett Ramsdell Jr. of Ocean Shores, Wash. and Randy Ramsdell of Rochester, Wash.; daughters Teri Ramsdell of Rochester, Wash. and Carmen Ramsdell of Ocean Shores, Wash.; brothers Wayne Ramsdell and Ken Ramsdell both of Aberdeen, Wash.; sisters Arlene Gallington of Aberdeen, Wash. and Judy Ramsdell of Kirkland, Wash.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Melvin Ramsdell.

A graveside service is planned for 1 p.m., Friday, April 20, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Cosmopolis. Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary.
