Robert J. Preble

Aberdeen resident Robert John Preble, former owner of the Preble Agency in the Becker Building, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, in Belfair. He was 96.

A memorial service is being planned and an obituary with details will follow in The Daily World.

Cremation arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Kenneth L. De La Mater Sr.

SEATTLE — Kenneth Lawrence De La Mater Sr. of Aberdeen died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Kindred Care Hospital in Seattle. He was 84.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Floyd Wheaton

Hoquiam resident Floyd B. Wheaton died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, in Olympia. He was 61.

He was born in Aberdeen and had lived in Montesano.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Felipa L. Aguilar

SEATTLE — Felipa Leguizamo Aguilar of Montesano died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. She was 44.

Viewing will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Harrison Family Mortuary, in Aberdeen followed by a graveside service at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Linda C. Newman

A celebration of life and potluck for Hoquiam resident Linda Carrie Newman, who died Oct. 31, in Aberdeen, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Cosmopolis Lions Club.

Vernon Berg

OLYMPIA — Vernon E. Berg, a resident of Westport for 70 years, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 80.

He had been a commercial fisherman.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced as soon as details are available.
