Jack Thompson

Aberdeen resident Jack R Thompson, president of the Port of Grays Harbor Commissioners, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, in Santiago, Chile, following an accident while at a meeting for the American Association of Port Authorities. He was 81.

Services are being planned and a full obituary will follow in The Daily World.

Susan C. (Leggett) Schumacher

OLYMPIA — Former longtime Aberdeen resident Susan Clare (Leggett) Schumacher died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at her Olympia home after a battle with cancer. She was 59.

She was a longtime Olympia area educator.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Griffin School in Olympia.

Carl Allen Whitty died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at his Aberdeen home. He was 69.

Aberdeen resident Dorothy Ann Nulf died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at home. She was 78.

OCEAN SHORES — Shirley Ann Smith of Ocean Shores died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at home. She was 67.
