Cheryl Fay Lyden Henderson

Cheryl Fay Lyden Henderson, 67, lifetime Harbor resident, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, Washington.

Cheryl was born on Oct. 16, 1955, in Tacoma, Washington to parents, Wilfred “Oli” Lyden and Marguerite Jenkins. She grew up in the Westport and Ocosta areas, attending Ocosta schools. She began working as a teenager with her parents at Oli’s Seafood Market and Crab Shack. She carried out her career as a seafood processor at the local canneries of Westport, where she was recognized as an expert in her field for speed and accuracy in filleting fish.

Cheryl’s hobbies included mushroom picking, clam digging, being outdoors, walking the beach, agate hunting, painting and arrowhead hunting.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Cordell “Bubba” Lyden, of Oregon; daughter, Rebecha Henderson, of Longview, Washington; brother, Dave Lyden, of Yakima, Washington; her stepson, Timothy Jones, of Aberdeen, Washington; life companion, John Jones, of Montesano, Washington; and seven grandchildren.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her sister, Phylis Hathaway.

Private family services are being planned. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
