Officers and detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in South Aberdeen on Tuesday morning as part of an investigation into the sales and distribution of methamphetamine.

On Tuesday at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers and detectives with the Aberdeen Police Department and the Grays Harbor County Drug Task Force jointly executed the search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Cushing Street in Aberdeen.

This was a nearly five-week investigation into the sales and distribution of methamphetamine, according to a press release from Aberdeen Police Chief Steve Shumate.

Officers arrested two individuals from the residence and seized drug-related items indicative of drugs sales. A 54-year-old female resident was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on drug-related charges, and a 45-year-old female was also arrested and booked on unrelated warrants.

This is an ongoing investigation. The Aberdeen Police Department will continue to work in conjunction with the Grays Harbor County Drug Task Force on other illegal drug houses in and around the city.
