Cosmo Specialty Fibers employees will participate in a series of emergency evacuation drills throughout November at the mill in Cosmopolis.

According to a press release, the drills will allow Cosmo to check the adequacy of their procedures for critical events while allowing employees the opportunity to practice their skills and emergency preparedness response in the event of a real emergency.

Here’s a schedule for the drill dates and alarm times:

-Nov. 8, 13, 15 and 27 at 5:15 p.m.

-Nov. 13, 10:45 a.m.

During the drills, Cosmo Specialty Fibers’ alarms will sound and instructions will be provided to employees by intercom and radio communications. The alarms sounding during these times may be heard outside the mill property and are for training purposes only. They do not signify an actual emergency. The drills will take about an hour to perform.
