Cosmopolis School District officials are searching for a new school board member, following the resignation of Betty Campbell.

The board will appoint a successor for the remainder of Campbell’s term, which will expire in 2019.

A person is legally qualified to become a board member who is a United States citizen and a qualified registered voter residing in District No. 3.

Interested residents may submit a letter of interest to the Cosmopolis School District Office, P.O. Box 479, Cosmopolis, WA 98537. Letters should include a brief biographical sketch, information about training, interests, experience on policy boards, community and/or school activities and availability to attend regularly scheduled meetings, participate in workshops and review study materials.

Deadline for submitting the letters of interest is Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, by 3 p.m. The School Board will interview candidates and potentially fill the vacancy at its regular board meeting on Thursday, Jan. 25.
