Grayland Players auditioning for ‘Li’l Abner’

Director Carolyn Barker will oversee auditions from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Grayland Community Hall.

The Grayland Players are holding auditions for “Li’l Abner” this weekend.

Norman Panama and Melvin Frank wrote the musical comedy based on comic characters created by Al Capp. Gene dePaul composed the music, and Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics.

Director Carolyn Barker will oversee auditions from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Grayland Community Hall.

Both singing and non-singing parts are available. Stage crew members also are needed. The production is scheduled to debut May 4.
