Aberdeen Beautification Day set for April 27

The public can help “beautify” Aberdeen next Saturday, April 27, as part of the annual Beautification Day downtown.

Run by the Aberdeen Parks Department, the event helps make downtown Aberdeen look nicer by planting flowers.

People of all ages are welcome to attend and volunteer. The event runs from 8 to 11:30 a.m. April 27, and check-in is at Aberdeen City Hall. All volunteers will be assigned a “captain” and a block in downtown to work on. It’s recommended to bring gloves, small hand tools, hand trimmers, and sun-screen if needed. Additional tools, flowers and light refreshments will be provided
